Bio

Audri Schaay, Clinical and Sports Massage, Slings Myofascial practitioner

I am a Clinical Massage Therapist who is passionate about helping individuals out of pain through hands-on massage. I deliver a unique treatment experience that is tailored to address a specific outcome using techniques of Eastern and Western massage therapies and an understanding of functional movement. Over the years, I developed an interest in all things Fascia: from Biotensegritiy, direct and indirect Myofascial Release techniques, Trigger Points (Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction) to similarities between Myofascial Meridians (Anatomy Trains, Slings), and Chinese Meridians with Acupressure points (Traditional Chinese Medicine).

In 2019, I embarked on the BTEC Level 6 Advanced Clinical and Sports Massage to expand upon the application and benefits of massage therapy in chronic pain conditions. In my final year, I assessed the efficacy of massage treatment for headaches and pain in the temple, ear, and jaw areas (Temporomandibular Joint Disorder/ TMD). In addition, I continue to delve into research and meet specialists in the field.

Fascial work as a massage therapist is extremely rewarding! It aims at creating ease in movement and balance. It can be used for the treatment of scars to help bring hydration to the new tissue, break up adhesions and lessen tension. I aim to work closely with those affected by cancer treatment and rehabilitation.
